Per new allegations from a informant, Ghislaine Maxwell, now completing a two-decade sentence for sex-trafficking crimes, is allegedly readying a commutation application for review by the presidential administration.

Special Treatment Claimed at Correctional Facility

Congressional Democrats on the judicial oversight panel revealed that a whistleblower provided evidence indicating Maxwell is working on the clemency petition. They also stated she has been given preferential conditions at the federal prison camp in the Lone Star State.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, the ranking member on the committee, declared in a official statement that the prison’s warden was “helping” Maxwell with document preparation and submission to support her bid for executive mercy.

Specific details of the clemency request are unknown, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Special Accommodations

The representative claims that, per the insider, Maxwell has been receiving “customized” meals that are hand-delivered to her cell, and the warden has “personally arranged” exclusive visits for her and her guests.

The visits reportedly involve a “special cordoned-off area” for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her guests.

Those visiting Maxwell were also reportedly permitted to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an exceptional measure given the potential danger and potential for unmonitored communications.

Reportedly on one occasion, when phone lines went down for other inmates, Maxwell was given specific instructions about instructing her contacts to contact and how staff would relay the call to her.

The source also allegedly told House Democrats that when Maxwell wanted to review and edit documents promptly, she “essentially used” the official as her private aide.

The statement indicates that Maxwell’s correspondents would send files directly to the warden, who would hand them over to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and return them to the warden to scan and provide to the original sender.

Extra Benefits Alleged

Further perks allegedly granted to her include time to “play with” a service dog puppy – a benefit typically prohibited – as well as private after-hours access to the facility's gym.

Maxwell’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the whistleblower’s claims.

In a statement, the White House said that it “will not discuss” on potential clemency requests.

“As President Trump has stated, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has considered,” the representative noted.

Recent Background

Recently, it was reported that Maxwell told close associates in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the Texas facility than her former location.

In August, Maxwell was moved from a low-security prison in Florida's capital to the minimum-security camp in the state, where most inmates are incarcerated for financial and non-violent crimes.

This move, which experts described as “unprecedented”, occurred just shortly following she was interviewed about the Epstein case by the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, who also previously served as Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

This questioning came as the administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the Epstein investigation and amid widespread conjecture around Trump's own personal ties to the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, who was found dead in a New York jail in that year while facing trial on trafficking accusations.

Congressional Response

Through the statement, the congressman also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, demanding answers about the whistleblower’s allegations, and called on the president to deny the clemency appeal.

“You should not grant any type of pardon to this convicted and unrepentant criminal,” the representative stated in the letter. “The government must not offer her with room service, with puppies to play with, with federal law enforcement officials waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or facility benefit at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche attend a public congressional hearing to address the disclosures and also posed three questions to the President.

Raskin asked whether Trump had talked about a possible clemency for the convict with Blanche or others, whether he had directed Blanche or anyone else to provide her with the transfer or favorable and preferential treatment in detention, and whether she, her lawyers, family or agents have made any promises to the President or his legal team.

Raskin has asked for a reply to the inquiries by 24 November.

In October, the nation's highest court rejected an appeal from the convict on her trafficking verdict.
